FULL DESCRIPTION: Zareese was born the smallest in the litter, being considering the runt, until he had grown. Now, Zareese stands tall, towering above all of his family, despite his lithe structure. He has larger ears than normal, that fur comes to point from the tip of his ears. The tom's base peltage color was white, with cream, more specifically, alabaster-creamed. The white and creamy colors intertwine and give him his cunning peltage and facade. Zareese's eyes are stunning, being a unique yellow with hazel and green depths. Zareese has a slight overbite, which is barely noticeable unless one decides to get in his face.
SHORT DESCRIPTION: a large yet lean alabaster-creamed tomcat with mysterious yellow eyes.
PERSONALITY
Zareese has always had an amiable side, as being the Medicus, it takes a lot. It takes patience, intelligence, friendliness, and so much more, or at least, in his opinion. Unfortunately, Zareese wasn't all that. He had always forced himself to have a friendly display when speaking to others, as he has his troubles. Zareese is quite young, and yet he's fairly intelligent for his age. His knowledge with herbs was like instant, as if he knew them from the day he was born. But with intelligence comes some wit, so he could be rather witty too. The alabaster-creamed tom is observant as he is always keeping an eye on everyone around him, the Luna, the Rightpaw, the warriors, the kits, the reginas, the elders, everyone, unless he is out searching for herbs. Lastly, Zareese's optimism (optimistic) is unbelievable. After the death of his father, Zareese had always had a positive side, thinking of the good things in the most terrible of situations. He attempts to make sure those around him try to remain happy in terrible times.
Zareese, since a kit, was determined, as he never gave up, no matter what situation. Zareese is determined to make the best of his rank, wanting to do the best he can, as he'd vowed to do so. He'd even make witty remarks to Tlique about how great he wants to be, which made the she-cat roll her eyes and snicker. Zareese, surprisingly, has a whimsical side to him, after opening up to someone, of course. He isn't playful in the nicest of ways, but he likes to tease and make jokes, often uncalled for remarks and comments. It's quite clear that his next trait would be his placid nature. He is never easily provoked, upset (unless he'd made a huge mistake), or excited. Some might call this apathetic, though it's truly his placid nature. Finally, this stunning tom is overbearingly religious as he believes in the moon and where his ancestors are within, also known as, The Paws that Passed Moonlight. If another hadn't known what it was or had made a snarky or unnecessary remark, Zareese would stand up for himself and speak about which he believes. He'd be truly offended.
Zareese has always been an insecure feline since the day he was born. He was insecure of his puny nature, but once he grew, he was then insecure about his overbite and massive change in size. He is greatly insecure about being around others, as he's afraid that he may not be liked as well, so he tends to retreat to the Medicus Den or to the territory in search of herbs. Zareese's worst quality is porbably his bluntness. This blunt sire can be hurtfully and brutally honest to the point where it may mentally or verbally hurt another, so it's another reason why he's insecure and remained silent most of the time. The yellow-eyed creamy tom is closed-off, meaning he isn't one to open up to others easily, as he sort of has trust issues in a way. He fears that if he gets too close to someone, they will eventually leave him behind in rubbish. Lastly, Zareese's impartial nature. This tom seems to treat everyone the same, no matter the allegiance. If he sees another feline from elsewhere is injured, he shows sympathy, willing to tend to their injuries. Though, he, deeply inside, feels guilt, but doesn't show it.

HISTORY
Born to a litter of three, the small cream bundle of fur who came last also ended up being the 'runt' of the litter. He was and still is the smallest of his siblings. His mother named him Zareese. As the tom got slightly older, he grew abnormally quick, becoming the largest of the litter, he was also the strongest. Early on, his health was almost always at a decline, and he would often get sick from a change in the weather or from something the other cats carried in on their pelts. Had it not been for the previous medicine cat's perseverance, he might not have made it past his kittenhood. He spent more time in with the Medicus than in the nursery once he was no longer supposed to remain at his mother's side.
When it came time for his littermates to become apprentices, he was held back for a moon to recover from a head cold. It was decided that he would become the Medicus's apprentice rather than that of a warrior's. It was more in worry that he might never make it past the physical training required to become a warrior, and he appeared more at ease in the medicine cat's den than around larger groups of cats. Once he was well enough, Zareese began his training. It became clear that his health was gradually improving over the course of the next couple of moons, and he was just as healthy as the next cat by the time he reached his twelfth moon. He grew a little larger, too, though it was not much of an improvement.
His first trial as a Medicus apprentice came in the form of his father. While he was out on a patrol, Marcus and the two cats he was with encountered a lone fox. The encounter itself was short lived, and they managed to chase the creature off. However, this did not come without casualties. Marcus had to be rushed back to the Medicus, his fur matted with blood from several large gashes and bite marks along his neck and back. He had taken the bulk of the attacks to let the other warriors deal as much damage as they could to the fox, and it showed. Zareese was frantic in his attempts to stop his father's bleeding while the medicine cat prepared herbs to press against his wounds to stop infection, yet they were too late. Not even their efforts could help him as the life in his eyes faded on the den floor.
Zareese was distraught. He believed he had failed as a Medicus's apprentice. He could not even save his own father, so how was he expected to help the clan? Over the course of the next two moons, his mentor tried their hardest to pull the small apprentice out of mourning. It was after a lengthy lecture about The Paws that Passed Moonlight that Zareese finally snapped out of it, or so it seemed. Though, the only reason he'd snapped out of his little trance, was because of the former Medicus, who was his Tetula, by the name of Tlique (ta-lee-que). She was a gentle and charismatic she-cat that was yet a fierce firecracker.
Eventually, he'd returned to his old self, acting as though he had finally come to terms with his father's death to move on. But, he had not. As time went on, Zareese became less open to others, except Tlique, of course. Rising to the status of a full Medicus, he no longer had the old Medicus to lean on. He kept his head held high, vowing that he would not disappoint his clan.
Though, Zareese's days would only get better from there on out. Why? He had a new feline come into his life, named Biche. He was a dimutive kit who'd been the only living kit out of the litter. For a few moons, Zareese had to tend to the young kit until he could be given back to his mother in the nursery. Zareese was always preached to about how he must be open to all members of his clan, and so he somewhat did so, only when necessary. Though, about a few moons later, about four, a few kits had been made apprentices.
Tlique was always up Zareese's rear about the kit from moons before, by the name of Biche. The one he'd tended to until he could return to his mother. Zareese would only roll his eyes, but something about this young feline had also sparked Zareese's interest. Well, in a way, like, someone he could open up to. But then again, it was probably because Tlique was right. She was always right.
Zareese's apprentice had soon became Biche, and he was excited, but his facials hadn't expressed so, nor did his vocals. At first, Zareese was quite timid and muted towards Biche, but Zareese knew he had to open up, especially cause this wasn't just any ordinary apprentice, this was his apprentice. Biche would be someone Zareese felt he needed to look after for quite some time. So now, he is awaiting for what is to come with his new, fresh apprentice, Biche.
