Many moons ago, about twenty, after the island’s flood, CoastClan, TideClan. And SumacClan were formed. The three clans were named after what they’re known for and where they reside. CoastClan revolves around the coast within the island. CoastClan is the smallest of the clans, well, their territory is the smallest. CoastClan still attempts to battle for land today, or possibly claim land that isn’t yet claimed. TideClan is the closest to the beach, but the tides tend to be odd. The island has a strange quirk to it. The tides are mainly high rather than low. When the tides are low, that’s when TideClanner tend to hunt for fish in the shallower waters. They have the second smallest territory. Lastly, we have SumacClan. SumacClan resides in the island’s forest, having the largest territory amongst the tribe, Tempus, and opposing clans. SumacClan’s prefix name, sumac is known for the amount of poison sumac in the territory. Those who don’t know SumacClan’s territory well, have a higher chance of getting poison rather than SumacClanners themselves. The cats were wild cats, many ferocious mixed breeds and non-domestic felines. Though, as the moons went on. Kittypets and cats within the tribes would breed, and the species became less wildly and less belligerent. However, the clans are mainly made up of tabbies and solid-colored cats. There are no purebreds in the clan unless they were born outside of them. All three clans’ belief system is just as in the original Erin Hunter series, with the stars and the clan above which is known as StarClan.
CoastClan had been formed by a lean and puny she-cat whose name was Coastia. She was a wild cat, as her species was an Jungle Cat. She was born by the coast with her family of six, her parents, and two siblings. Coastia wasn’t any ordinary she-cat. She was one firecracker, having a diminutive and lithe size, but her personality was feisty and quick-witted. Ever since the beginning of CoastClan, the personality of CoastClan were of quick-witted and aggressive cats. Whilst they were lean and quite small in size. As moons went on, the older Coastia grew, she decided to form a clan, CoastClan. Coastia found it quite stupid to name the clan after herself, and so, she renamed herself, Wildstar, due to her unique markings. Wildstar’s family began to breed with others outside her clan, which had made the species combine and change. Wildstar was unhappy with the circumstances, but maybe it was best for her clan. The clan grew larger, and yet...the territory remained small, as it seemed there were two other clans, including a weird group of rogues who considered themselves the Tempus or something like that. Today, there are no more genetics left from the Jungle Cat, Wildstar, but the appearances of CoastClan cats are small and lithe, while they have an aggressive and fiery persona.
Wildstar had passed on the skill of agility, tracking, and leaping. Her clan’s best abilities were those three. Wildstar may have been a firecracker, but her clan loved her for her great skill, adaptability, and bravery. She was strong. More in the mind rather than physically. Her clan might not be the strongest physically, but they’ve always been powerful thinkers with amazing strategy. One con about CoastClan, is that they’re hesitant to accept any outsiders, especially rogues as they are believed to belong to Tempus, and kittypets because they’re pampered and weak. MHowever, as Wildstar grew older, her lives went quickly. CoastClan seemed to go on a landslide, as she was near death. Her old age, that was. Though, it didn’t seemed to matter, as she was soon murdered by everyone’s enemy, SumacClan; their leader killed Wildstar. Though, soon enough after Viperstar’s death, CoastClan collected themselves and regained taken land, even though they remain small today.
TideClan had been formed by a quite short and broad-shouldered tom whose name was Neap. He was a wild cat as his species was the Asian Golden Cat. He wasn’t bulky nor massive, but he was somewhat average and had a slight build with a shorter structure. He was born along the beach with his family of four. His parents and one sibling. Neap was a very strange tom. He was known for his amiable and generous persona. TideClan would later on be filled with friendly and outgoing cats. When Neap got older, he had pursued his dreams and formed a clan, just before Wildstar and Viperstar had. Neap’s name had actually meant a tide just after the first or third quarters of the moon when there is the least difference between high and low water. Neap then renamed himself Neapstar. Neapstar’s clan grew, being filled with mixed breeds and few kittypets, as rarely were kittypet accepted into TideClan. The cats would breed and make TideClan thrive. Neapstar was proud of his clan, nonetheless. He was soon disappointed when he found out about the other clans, including a tribe and Tempus.
Neapstar’s main focus with his clan was the skills to swim and hunt. Neapstar’s clan also had an in between with intelligence and strength. TideClan had thrived with these skills, as they were named the best with their hunting skills and abiltiy to swim as if they were fish. It comes natural to TideClanner’s to swim, whilst learning to hunt can be trickier. As TideClan mainly feasts on large and small fish that come and go in the shallow waters of the beach they reside near. Neapstar soon lost his first life from a warrior within the despised clan, SumacClan. Neapstar soon realized that after his first life, about two moons later Leafbare came around and Neapstar caught Greencough. He was killed off by the terrible illness, and it seemed the clan went through a tough time for some time before being revived and stronger.
SumacClan had been formed by a massive and thin-shouldered tom by the name of Viper. He was the species, an African Wild Cat. Viper always had ambition, and yet he was a sweet tom with a sharp tongue as well. SumacClan cats can be in between TideClan’s personality alongside CoastClan’s. However, SumacClan’s personality can be tied with hunger for power. Viper was an only kit with his two parents. After Viper’s parents’ death, he was old enough to form an allegiance of his own, which he called SumacClan, considering he had gotten it as a young kit. Viper soon called himself Viperstar. Viperstar’s clan was powerful, but not so clever. The clan was made up of large and bulky or thin cats, made for strength rather than athleticism. The clan was huge, well, the territory. It sprawled across quite a bit of the island.
Viperstar forced his clan to focus on strength, endurance, and the skill of fighting. It seemed all Viperstar was truly concerned about was the power for his clan. He believed that his clan deserved all of the land. Viperstar, honestly wasn’t the most favored leader. It seemed he was shown fake love by his own clan. SumacClan will always have ambition but not like Viperstar did. Viperstar had killed off CoastClan’s leader Wildstar, her two last lives quickly snatched away. Soon, Viperstar’s own deputy murdered him, and that was the end of Viperstar. The true personality of SumacClanner’s are outgoing and neutral, but deep down have ambition, though it is rarely shown until it comes to battle. Today, SumacClan is has the largest territory and is despised by the tribe, Tempus, and two opposing clans.
After the death of each leader of the three clans, deputies turned to leaders. Now stands [Prefixstar] as CoastClan’s leader, [Prefixstar] as TideClan’s leader, and [Prefixstar] as SumacClan’s leader. However these cats lead the clan, depends on changes and what will corrupt and happen throughout the moons. Will the clans remain the same? Being led as greatly as the first known leaders? Or will they lead differently? It’s all up to each leader.
Much like the clans the Tribe has descended down from wild cats, but these are ones that lives around the small rocky ‘mountain’ that they claim, the specific main breed being a bobcat or Lynx. The Tribe is so old the tales of the first Vita is said in many different ways, none knowing the true beginning of their tribe. The Tribe of Gushing Water is the true first group to ever form inside of the island, only claiming a small amount of the land, never taking more than they needed. They had been together for hundreds of moons.
The most popular tale of the first Vita is a huge tom named Snow of the Mountain Peak before receiving his true name. A horrible time came of sickness and death among the stray groups of wild cats who shared the land, but as more and more dropped they came together as one, finding their changes together better than apart. They had found a safe spot from the frozen island winter behind the waterfall, deciding to claim this as their cave and shelter from the harsh weather.
Snow of the Mountain Peak had taken it into his own paws and knowledge of herbs and healing to take care of all of those sick and in need. With his strong voice and powerful sense of leadership he was placed as Vita of Growing Solis. How the first Vita died is said in many different ways; some say he died of sickness, some say he got lost in a blizzard while hunting, but the most believed way was that he was killed by a fallen rock from the rocky ‘mountain’. Most believe this as a random boulder is placed at the front side of the Mountain, big enough to completely crush a cat.
The rest of the Tribe life was fairly normal! Even now, with all of the clans around them the Tribe keeps peace when they can. The Tribe of Gushing Water is a tribe of peace, enjoying to keep to themselves as if they are still alone in the forest and the original group of felines.
The Tempest founders were a band of kittypets and alley cats that were run out of the small Village of (Insert here) when a deadly hurricane tore through. The buildings and streets both flooded and destroyed by the harsh weather that they weren't prepared for. The cats that survived fled to the forest for safety, finding solid ground under their paws. They didn't know of any other cats living in the clan, mostly as there wasn't any, it was The Tempest that had made their home outside of the twoleg village. While the harsh weather continued, more and more cats made their way into the forest, and the founders accepting them with warm and welcome arms. Soon, the beaten, soaked cats formed what is now known as The Tempus. In the full silver moon they declared their 'Luna', or leader and established the rules and ranks that they'd follow to this very day.
The Tempest flourished when the hurricane died down. Young and old were being taught how to hunt in the wild, shown how to get their paws dirty and get rid of their fat kittypet bellies. Those who loved the struggle and climb of the wild life grew stronger, harder, braver. Though it wasn't the life for every cat, and some went back to the twoleg village to try and find a safe home and their old twolegs. The leader was a very laid back Russian Blue she-cat with a natural born ability to lead and show cats the way. Her name was Risha, and she lived a very long and full life, loved by The Tempus as she was their foundation, their start.
Risha was killed by a dog attack, a few stray pets were hungry and decided to venture into the forest. The clan had lost many cats that day due to the fact that not all the cats were properly trained and groomed to take on such a massive challenge. Risha was the one who sacrificed herself, leading the dogs back to the twoleg village in a long chase, and only her mangled corpse was dragged back. The resting place for the dead is the boarders of the camp, as they believe the spirits of their dead never leave the earth and serve to protect and warn them from dangers.
The night of her death Risha rose from her grave in a spiritual form and greeted her Rightpaw, or deputy, in the middle of the night in her Tutela form. She blessed him and the Tempus to have Tutela's, or guardians to watch over them. It was the first time it had ever happened, seeing of a Tutela, and Bear had decided that all conversations with the spirits of their ancestors should only be shared with other high ranked cats, and not be an open discussion.
Bear ruled with a tight fist, the amount of cats in The Tempus was overwhelming for the tom, and he couldn’t handle much more. He was turning The Tempus into cold cats, not wanting to help anyone outside of their group. That was completely against what Risha had tried to do, she tried making The Tempus a safe spot for cats, where all were welcome… Though with new ruling, things will change.
Because of constant rejection and foul behavior from his cats there was a massive rogue attack onto The Tempus. It started in the morning, killing the morning hunters and leaving them to be found in the afternoon. When fear and rage struck The Tempus is when the rogues striked. Bear was the first to be killed along with his rightpaw, medicus, and his kits. The rogues completely took over The Tempus, bringing it under a bloody paws. Those who opposed were killed, it was a dictatorship.
Marrow, the leader of the rogues took the place as The Luna, placing his daughter as the rightpaw. For many moons they ruled, but behind it all the original Tempus cats were thinking of a way to get rid of the rogues.
Someone on the inside had helped take down the rogue dictators, though it was a deadly struggle for The Tempus to reclaim their land. The leader of this rebellion was placed as The new Luna accepted as the Tutella of Risha watches over them and Bear watches over the new Rightpaw.
