Emberblaze, applying for Coastclan Leader. :3 ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
I. YOUR CLOSEST FRIEND HAS DECIDED TO TURN AGAINST THE CLAN AND PAIR UP WITH A GROUP OF ROGUES TO TAKE DOWN THE CLAN. THE ONLY PROOF YOU HAVE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING IS YOUR NEWLY APPOINTED DEPUTY AND RECENT ABSENCES OF THE FRIEND.
Emberblaze could feel her anger growing hot, and she took a deep breath before it could overcome her. She'd noticed her friend's absences, and had already been a bit on edge about their behaviour. "If you have reason to believe they are betraying this clan, I will address it immediately. Thank you for coming forward with this." With a sweep of her plumed tail, she exited the den, and leaped up onto the rock where she addressed the clan during meetings. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!" Her voice rang clearly above the sounds of the waterfalls and chattering clan cats. The clan gathered with haste, and Emberblaze sat down. "My Deputy has come forward with some information about -insert name-. Given their recent absences and the trust I have in my Deputy, I am forced to put them on trial. -insert name-, please step forward." Her eyes blazed with a seemingly all-knowing fire as she gazed down at the cat she once called friend. It was clear from their scowling face that she had no real need to pry into their mind for the truth; it was quite plain on their face. "My Deputy tells me you have been planning to overthrow this clan with a group of rogues. In the past moon, I have witnessed your absence several times, and you've never given me a valid explanation for them. Do you have anything to say in your defense?" Silence. It stretched on, cold and heavy upon her heart. "-insert name-, you are banished from Coastclan forever. After sundown tonight, if you are spotted on this territory my Warriors have permission to drive you out with force. This will be your only warning." The words were Curt, emotionless, and frigid, despite the hot burning of her gaze as she watched them leave the camp for the last time.
II. A YOUNG KIT HAD KILLED ONE OF THEIR SIBLINGS IN A WRESTLING MATCH, THOUGH WITNESSES SAY THE KIT DID IT, THE MOTHER IS IN A HYSTERICAL STATE CLAIMING SHE DID IT. As Emberblaze entered the camp, leading a successful hunting patrol, she immediately realized something was wrong. In the middle of camp lay a kit, completely still, smelling of death. Padding forward, Emberblaze felt a low growl echo in her throat. "Who is responsible for this?" Many answers, many voices, but the loudest by far was the mother of the kit, claiming her guilt of killing it. "I know your kind heart too well to believe this was you, when you would do anything to protect your kits. It is further proven by your defense of your kit, who has killed his brother. Though your protective nature is commendable, you must take care not to be blinded by your love for your kits." Her voice was quiet, not wanting to make a spectacle of the situation any more than it already was. She gathered the guilty kit with a gentle tail, and ushered both the kit and mother into her den. Giving her deputy and order to arrange the vigil for the kit, she entered after the pair. Sitting down, she faced the two. The kit was shaking, eyes wide and terrified, and the mother was not faring much better. Emberblaze cleared her throat. "I am well aware of the situation, though I did not witness it myself. From all accounts, it appears to be an accident. -kit, do you know the severity of your actions? Being too rough on your littermate has cost them their life, and your mother a ton of grief. If you were a warrior, I would have to send you away." The kit visibly recoiled at that, burrowing into his mother's fur. "Since you seem to regret your actions, I won't do that. But, from now on, you must be extra careful not to harm others. You are stronger than you think you are, and you must learn to control that strength. -kit mother-, you will need to keep a closer eye on this kit, and be sure to guide him with a firm paw. Violence will not be tolerated in this clan, and if it happens again he will be banished." Her words were firm with finality, and the Mother nodded gratefully, embracing her kit with tears in her eyes.
III. RUMORS SAY THAT ONE OF THE NEIGHBORING CLANS HAS AN OUTBREAK OF SICKNESS, AND ON A LONE HUNT BY THE BOARDER YOU SPOT THEIR MEDICINE APPRENTICE TAKING HERBS. Emberblaze's paws streaked over the ground as she chased her prey, only to stumble as an unfamiliar scent crossed her nose. Skidding to a halt, she turned, spotting a young cat she recognized as the newly appointed Medicine Cat Apprentice of --clan. Growling, she padded over, going unnoticed until she was directly behind the small cat. As the apprentice spun, Emberblaze hit them with her most scorching glare, stopping the now stricken-with-fear apprentice in their tracks. Already, they were stuttering apologies and claims that they had no idea they had crossed the border. "Well, I suggest you put that nose to more use next time. I understand your clan is going through a tough time, so I won't claw off your ears or take those herbs back. But I had better not hear about you crossing this border again, or you will regret it. Now, be off with you, and make sure you put those plants to good use!"
So, Mausbär♡ and I had went into a little discussion about who our CoastClan leader will be. We have decided on Dovefeather! Both of you had strong auditions, and we loved both cats in general. However, our final decision was Dovefeather. Thank you both for auditioning. Congratulations on CoastClan leader, @echo !
Timberheart, Applying for Tideclan Leader. Edit: I cleaned up and improved Timberheart's bio, but he still has the same key attributes, so these answers wouldn't change. ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ I. Timberheart woke from his rather pleasant sleep to find his newly appointed Deputy standing over him. His ears flicked as he listened to the disturbing reports the Deputy had to give him, regarding his own best friend. Timberheart frowned, and shook his head. "That can't be. Are you certain this is what you saw? I have also noticed -friend-'s absences, but there could be a reasonable explanation. We don't want to jump to conclusions. I will follow him today, and see where he goes." He murmured, his voice low with a saddened undertone. He felt anger at the idea that his friend would betray him, but it was greatly overshadowed by his grief at possibly losing him forever. However, he knew there would be no other choice if -friend- was guilty. "I need you to stay in camp, and have the entire clan on guard in case something happens. I will be taking three senior warriors along with me, but the rest will stay in camp. Don't send out any patrols, and make sure the apprentices and kits are all accounted for. Until my return, no one leaves camp." He instructed, as he rose to his paws. He exited the den just in time to watch a familiar tail disappear our of camp, and a bad feeling twisted his gut. This wasn't going to end well. If -friend- was gathering Rogues, they could be a serious threat to Tideclan. Timberheart would not allow those forces to continue to grow. He would have to chase them out by force, whether he liked it or not, to protect his clan. He signaled three of his best warriors with a nod off his head to each, and they approached him. "We are going to be following after -friend-, to see where he has been disappearing to lately. I need you on your guard; there is a possibility he has gathered rogue forces against us. It may come to a fight, and if it does, we will not fail. -Deputy- will be staying in camp with the rest of the clan, but we must make sure that no Rogues are able to slip past us and get to the camp." He explained quickly, already begining to pad after the could-be traitor. They were quick to get through the territory, easily following the scent trail that seemed to be frequently used by the same cat. More and more evidence began to make itself known, and it wasn't even a surprise when they found themselves on the edge of a clearing, looking directly at -friend-, and three rogues. Timberheart crouched, and signaled his warriors to do the same. They had approached downwind, and hadn't been detected. He witnessed -friend- have several interactions with the rogues, none of which seemed hostile, and all seemed familiar. He felt sick to his stomach, and his expression became very cold and stoic. He rose from the undergrowth, standing tall and very visible for the traitor to see. "-friend-, you have betrayed Tideclan, and me. When -Deputy- told me this was happening, I did t want it to be true. Yet here we stand." His 'friend' said nothing, only glared openly at Timberheart. He could see the jealousy, anger, and hatred in his eyes as plain as day, and felt his heart breaking a bit. "I'm sorry it came to this. Leave, now, or we will have no other choice but to force you." Timberheart growled, his green eyes glinting with anger. As expected, the rogues attacked, and his senior warriors each took to one with yowls of rage. Timberheart leaped at -friend- with claws outstretched. Clearly, -friend- hadn't expected Timberheart to actually become hostile, and jumped back more of surprise than anything. He wasn't quite fast enough, however, as Timberheart's massive frame crashed into the other Tom's much smaller one. It sent the cat to the ground, and Timberheart pinned him by the scruff, biting hard enough to break skin and hurt. -friend- yowled in pain and anger, and wriggled out from under Timberheart, dashing away into the undergrowth with his tail between his legs. Seeing their leader turn tail caused the Rogues to do the same, and Timberheart watched them go, confident that his clan wouldnt have to worry about them again. In case they did, however, he increased patrols for about a moon, and when no sign arose that they would return, Tideclan returned to a relatively peaceful existence.
II. A YOUNG KIT HAD KILLED ONE OF THEIR SIBLINGS IN A WRESTLING MATCH, THOUGH WITNESSES SAY THE KIT DID IT, THE MOTHER IS IN A HYSTERICAL STATE CLAIMING SHE DID IT. As news of a kit gone mad spread through the camp like wildfire, Timberheart made his way out of the leader's den.in moments, his deputy was at his side, and having seen the entire ordeal, claimed the young kit had pinned his sister with great force, and bitten down on her neck. It appeared that the kits had been arguing over who would make the better warrior, when the older of the two kits grew angry, and pounced on his sister. However, before he could finish the story, the mother of the kit came yowling that she had committed the crime, that her kit was innocent. Timberheart frowned, and closed his eyes for a long moment, submerging himself into deep thought. The mother was a seasoned warrior in the clan, and a great asset to their ranks. If he were to banish her, Tideclan would lose a good set of paws. However, the kit had shown blatant violence, something he didn't tolerate in his clan. He wasnt particularly young, and was almost to the age of apprenticeship. He was old enough to be held accountable. "Bring the kit forward." The kit had wide, fearful eyes, but there was a significant lack of remorse in his tiny gaze. "-kit-, you have murdered your sister in cold blood, before the eyes of the clan. Tideclan is a clan of forgiveness, but the crime of murder is not one that we can forgive. -kitmother-, I will give you a choice. You may go with your son, leave this clan, and never return. Or, you can remain here, and the kit shall be banished to Tempus territory. He will be escorted to the border, but from there, he is in the paws of Starclan. What say you?" He felt a deep, painful pull at his heart. He did not want this fate for the kit, but the other kits were in danger with him around, and the future of the clan was at stake. Sometimes, as a leader, you must make difficult decisions, but this was one of the hardest he'd ever come across.
III. RUMORS SAY THAT ONE OF THE NEIGHBORING CLANS HAS AN OUTBREAK OF SICKNESS, AND ON A LONE HUNT BY THE BOARDER YOU SPOT THEIR MEDICINE APPRENTICE TAKING HERBS.
Timberheart was more wandering than he was hunting, his mind straying just as thoroughly as his paws. He was plagued by thoughts of the current predicaments the clan faced, as well as the threat of sickness in SumacClan. Though he wasn't particularly fond of the clan, he didn't want to see them wiped out. He was roused from his train of thought by a scent on the wind, and turned to see a young cat plucking some herbs a few foxtails withing his border. Frowning, he made his way over, and cleared his throat. "You shouldn't take things that don't belong to you," he stated gruffly, as the apprentice spun around, "I know you can smell that border, young cat. If you could smell these, on this side of it, you couldn't have missed those scent markers. Now, I'm afraid you'll have to come along with me, so I can make sure your Leader and Mentor are fully aware of what their little medicine cat is doing." With that, he led the apprentice right back to his camp, but stayed outside of the entrance, not wanting to get anywhere near a sick cat for fear of infecting his own clan. Once the medicine cat and leader had appeared, fetched by the apprentice, Timberheart set the stolen herbs on the ground. "Your apprentice needs a lesson about stealing herbs. I trust you to teach him that lesson, and that you will put these herbs to good use for all this trouble. When I see you at the next gathering, I expect the apprentice to apologize to my medicine cat."
Morningsong, Applying for Tideclan Leader. Because why not xD ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ I.
Morningsong bristled, her eyes narrowing. "You're sure is was -friend- that you saw, sure that it was rogues she spoke to?" She asked, her voice growing quiet and dangerous. Her deputy, a cat she trusted with her life, nodded firmly, and looked her directly in eyes as he confirmed verbally that it had been her best friend, and she had been speaking with rogues. Morningsong said nothing, and turned from the freshkill pile, her lunch forgotten. Her deputy followed closely behind, as she made her way directly to the Warrior den, standing directly in front of her 'friend' with cold as stone eyes. "Tell me you didn't betray us. Explain to me where you've been, all these days that I've looked and not found you. All the patrol assignments you've dodged, and how little prey you bring back after hours of absence. Are you conspiring against me, -friend-?" She leaped back as the traitor pounced at her, rearing up to smack viciously with both front paws at her attacker. She chased -friend- out of camp, going to the extent of following her all the way to the border, her deputy and another warrior hot on her tail, dealing bites and scratches whenever she could. "If I catch you on our land again, you will regret it!" She yowled after the tail tucked between a set of cowardly legs.
II. A YOUNG KIT HAD KILLED ONE OF THEIR SIBLINGS IN A WRESTLING MATCH, THOUGH WITNESSES SAY THE KIT DID IT, THE MOTHER IS IN A HYSTERICAL STATE CLAIMING SHE DID IT. "Settle down! I cannot hear all of you speaking at once. -mother-, What happened?" Morningsong asked, turning to the mother of the deceased kit that lay on the stone floor before them. The mother, still slightly hysterical, claimed her own guilt at killing the kit. Morningsong narrowed her eyes, and turned to her deputy, who told her two warriors witnessed the kit killing her sibling in a play fight gone wrong. Morningsong turned to the mother, with her only remaining kit tucked between her legs. "-mother-, you claim you killed the kit. Witnesses claim your kit did it. It is clear that the only course of action is to assume both of you guilty, and banish you to Tempus Territory. My deputy and a trio of Warriors will escort you, and if you or your kit is found in our land again, we will use lethal force." She stated with finality, turning away. However, she paused last minute, and stilled her paws. "You will remain here under guard for the Kit's vigil and burial. You leave at dawn." She meowed, hearing the Mother's sobs. She could not be so cruel as to kick her out without allowing her to say goodbye to her kit. She had likely not had a part in the death, but the kit was dangerous, and Morningsong could see it in her eyes. She would likely end up murdering her mother in similar fashion, but the mother would not remain in the clan with her kit banished anyway. Morningsong was sure this was the best choice, and hoped Starclan felt the same.
III. RUMORS SAY THAT ONE OF THE NEIGHBORING CLANS HAS AN OUTBREAK OF SICKNESS, AND ON A LONE HUNT BY THE BOARDER YOU SPOT THEIR MEDICINE APPRENTICE TAKING HERBS. Morningsong crept up behind the medicine cat apprentice, her olive green eyes focused on the herbs he was taking. Once he'd taken a mouthful, she pounced, and pinned him on his back upon the ground. Unable to speak with the herbs filling his mouth, the Apprentice just widened his eyes in panic, and wriggled. Morningsong leaned on close, her muzzle almost brushing the Apprentice's. "Those don't belong to you. This land, and all that grows here, belongs to Tideclan. However... I have heard of your Clan's sickness. I will allow you to leave both with your tail and the herbs, so long as you never step foot on this territory again, unless you have been given permission. Do not mistake this kindness for weakness, apprentice. This will not be tolerated again." With that, she let the terrified little cat scamper away, chuckling softly to herself as she went back for the prey she'd captured.
