FULL DESCRIPTION: Amara is very obviously of kittypet origin. She has foreign features and a very peculiar body set. She takes after her father's purebred oriental body type. Overall, oriental cats like Amara have a very sharp face structure. They have defined cheekbones and a slender, pointed face shape. As typical for her breed, she has unusually large ears that stick out like a sore thumb. Her eyes are oval in shape and give Amara the impression that she is always glaring down her nose at you. Her eyes are an impressive amber colour that she inherited from her grandfather.
Her body follows the same principle: sleek, sharp, and graceful. Her years in Tempus has made her muscular in nature and age has not slowed her down in the slightest. Amara's fur is short enough to show of her attractive muscular structure. Her shoulders especially are very defined. Her legs are long and equally slim as the rest of her body. Her limbs all end in dainty, small paws. Her tail is particularly thin and whip-like.
Amara has very thin, short fur. Her fur is extremely revealing and provides little to no protection against harsh weather. Her pelt is very pleasing to rub against and feels like finely made silk. The colour of her fur is an unblemished ivory white. Despite the hard life she has lived thus far, Amara is completely free of scars. Overall, she has a fine-chin appearance.
SHORT DESCRIPTION: female white oriental with amber eyes
PERSONALITY
Cryptic
At first glance, Amara seems like a cat that has far too many secrets. There's a look in her eyes, a glint that shares some unknown joke with higher forces. It's in her smile, the equivocal way she speaks, the fragmented half-answers that seem to reveal more questions than answers. First impressions with her are difficult to gauge: she may have just been toying with you, and maybe she was testing you; it's hard to pinpoint if she's a superior cat, or a resigned one. No matter the verdict, though, a second meeting may reveal a cat totally unlike the one you initially met. This, at times, seems to throw people more than anything else.
Wise
There's a lot of territory that comes with being a Luna. She took well to the danger and the logical problems, but there were many circumstances that sense couldn't be used to help someone. It wasn't before long that Amara realized there was a lot more to saving people than simply protecting them. Honestly, it was hard for her to help others with their emotional difficulties; she used to be a very analytical thinker, and it took some time for her to understand that emotions couldn't always be explained. If it weren't for her ancestor Risha she likely never would have gotten past this bump in the road. She taught her about the value of not solving a problem; of instead giving someone a reason to try and figure it out for themselves. She showed her that reassurance could mean the world to someone, and that it could mean the difference between surrender and triumph. Most of all, she told her that getting what you want is not always the best victory. It took some time for her to get used to these new beliefs, but once she came to practice it, she realized that the world worked in mysterious ways. This, perhaps, is the source of her enigmatic tendencies today.
Confident
It's never been like her to let others change who she is, no matter who may think poorly of her. She's content with how she goes about her own life, and finds that her leadership tactics have proven effective. This has brought her experience to lend her confidence. For this same reason, Amara is very comfortable with herself. She's never had problems with her self-esteem, actually. That may just come with the territory of being naturally cocky, though. Despite this, she learned modesty, and the combination of both helped to shape her careful resolution and cement it. Because of this, it's difficult to insult her. With this assurance comes confidence in her abilities; she knows when she's good at something, and while she's not normally boastful about it, she won't deny it if she believes she's talented. This proves to be a double-edged sword, unfortunately; with confidence in her abilities comes a lack there of in her shortcomings. Being aware of her skills comes with the territory of noticing her own flaws. This helps her avoid entering situations she may not be able to handle, but it also makes it harder for her to handle them when they become unavoidable. Surprisingly, she can be rather self-conscious about some of her weaknesses.

HISTORY
BEFORE
The Tempus was no longer what Risha had envisioned. Once the original leader of the Tempus passed into the afterlife, she gave her place to her beloved right-paw: Bear. He was the cat who had been by her side this whole time and she trusted no one else with her dream than him. Unfortunately, her faith was misplaced.
Bear took the Tempus and made it his own twisted shrine to Risha's memory. He would spend his full moons in dead sleep with Risha and his days playing God. He became selective of those who were accepted into the clan; the Tempus was no longer a safe haven that Risha had envisioned, but a fortress of solitude with Bear sitting on the throne.
One of Risha's descendants, Thessaly, was horrified by what Bear was doing to the Tempus. She spoke up against their Luna and demanded he opened their borders to their kin once more. Bear had the audacity to laugh in her face and say he was keeping Risha's memory alive by weeding out the weak. Thessaly was not the only cat to disagree with Bear's leadership. Those who defied the twisted Luna were exiled for their treason against the crown or outright killed. Thessaly was the exception.
You see, Bear was horribly in love with Risha. He loved her like no one else and was devastated when she did not chose him to be her mate. He convinced himself that he was even more important to Risha for his position as Right-paw, but it did nothing to quell his feelings for the first Luna.
These feelings of twisted obsession transferred from Risha herself to her only daughter: Thessaly. Bear had a soft spot for the she cat and akined her to Risha herself. If he could not have the real Risha, he would settle for her daughter.
One day, Thessaly and Bear were getting in a row over his leadership decisions when he finally lost his temper with Thessaly. He gave her a choice: join him or be exiled. Thessaly chose exile.
It was several moons later that Thessaly gave birth to her kits in a pathetic cardboard box in the pouring rain in Primis Village. One of those kits happened to be Alectrona.
Thessaly and her kits stayed in the Village, surviving in the alleyways and on whatever scraps they could find. It was a harsh life, nothing befitting of their royal line but they survived.
Alectrona would go on to hear stories from her mother about Risha, Bear, and the Tempus cats. Her heart bleed for the kin she would never know. Eventually Alectrona came across the rouge rebellion; former Tempus cats that had disagreed with Bear and were outcast for their beliefs. Alectrona wasted no time joining them.
Alectrona worked directly under a tom named Marrow: the unofficial leader of the rouge rebellion. When he learned of Alectrona's relation to Risha, he was delighted. He claimed Alectrona's bloodline as the true heirs to the Tempus. Alectron completely believed him.
In the midst of the struggle between the Tempus and the rouges, Alectrona met a handsome kittypet named Zadkiel. He had no interest in taking back the Tempus but he was kind enough to share his food with the rebel cats. He and Alectrona got to talking and eventually had a short-lived fling. That, was the beginning of Amara.
THE ROUGES REBELLION
Amara was born next to her older brother Merceliago. Their mother was the royalblood Alectrona, descendant of Risha and her father was a pureblood kittypet Zadkiel. Her bloodline defined the rest of her life in a simple word: Legacy.
This is what defined Amara from her very first breathe and it will be what would rule her very last. Alectrona made sure her kits knew where they came from. She would tell them stories of Risha before they went to sleep and taught them the customs of the Tempus during the day. To Amara's innocent child ears, it sounded fake. Ancestors that would visit them on the full moon? She had never heard of such a thing. Amara and Merceliago mostly chalked it up to fables.
Growing up in the rebellion was different. The rouge rebels lived in the underbelly of the Primis Village and survived off nothing but scraps. It was a desperate existence and Amara had to fight for everything. The only comfort she had was her brother.
Marrow took special interest in the siblings and paraded them as the true Luna of the Tempus. Everyone seemed to take his word. Their plans changed. Their new goal was to restore Amara and Merceliago to the throne of the Tempus.
Amara was fond of the idea. Growing up on her mother's stories, she felt a sense of entitlement to the position of Luna. It didn't take much convincing on Marrow's part to persuade Amara to join the rebellion.
With their bloodline outed as the future Lunas, the rest of the rouges were clammering to get a glimpse at their future rulers. Amara took advantage of their attention to get them to teach her. They taught her how to fight, hunt, track, and murder. Within several moons, Amara and Merceliago were deemed ready to begin their assault on the Tempus.
It was daring Merceliago who came up with the idea to attack the morning hunters. They would be slow with sleep and would not suspect a surprise attack. Marrow was delighted by the idea.
The entire rouge rebllion force descended on the morning hunters like a swarm of lotus. Amara and Merceliago were among them. The Tempus hunters stood no chance against the righteous rouges who felt like they had been wronged. Even the ties of kin could not save them from their fury. They retreated back to the village to revel in their victory. Later that evening, they returned to finish the job.
The final battle between the Tempus and wronged rouges was awfully one-sided. Amara and Merceliago were the ones to strike down Bear. The battle was horrible and crude. Both sides used underhand tactics to turn the tide of battle, but eventually it was Amara who revealed their origins to Bear. He was so stunned he froze. If he looked closely enough, he could see the traces of his build in Merceliago and his own yellow eyes in Amara. They were his grandchildren. It was that moment of hesitation that cost him dearly. Amara pounced and with a swift movement of her paw, she ended the tyrant's life.
The siblings went to Marrow with their kill but were stopped in their tracks at the sight before them. Marrow, his daughter Versailles, and the remains of Bear's legacy. The right-paw, his mate, even his kits were all nothing but corpses by the time the siblings turned around. Some of the kits were not old enough to open their eyes. Amara and Merceliago were horrified into silence.
Marrow stepped forward and explained that no trace of Bear could remain. Not even them. The two recognized a threat when they heard it. They wasted no time turning tail and running. They ran out of the Tempus territory and back to the village. Back to the hollow streets that were empty of their kin. They had no one left but each other.
THE EMPTY YEARS
The next few moons were difficult for Amara and Merceliago. They tried to return to this mother only to find her murdered in her own bed. Their father had long since disappeared with his two legs. They were truly alone in the world. For a while, the two siblings dithered in the Village. There were very few cats left in the Village and none of them were associated with the rogue rebellion forces. Mostly kittypet or frail loners. They posed no threat to the well-trained descendants of Risha.
Merceliago eventually found solace in a two leg home. He bonded deeply with the two leg family, but Amara could not stomach the thought of becoming a kittypet after all that they had been through. Her Tempus roots made her restless and uneasy with her own life. She felt empty. Like she had failed all her ancestors.
THE FAITHFUL
So she wandered the streets of the Village like a specter. Aimless and slinking through the shadows. It was a depressing existence and Amara felt herself fading as she lived without meaning. On the precipice of giving up, Amara found salvation in Risha. Not in a metaphorical sense, but in the literal sense. The spirit of Risha, a Tutelas, visited Amara in the darkest hour of the night.
She appeared as a completely solid figured to her eyes. A pretty Russian Blue she cat. At first Amara thought she was a real cat until she attempted to attack her and her paws phased through her image like a ghost. Risha, for her part, just laughed at her great-grand daughter's attempts. She grew serious as she told Amara that they had work to do.
Risha was the one to inspire Amara to take back the Tempus. It had fallen from its original purpose and Risha refused to stand by and let it continue to decay. All she needed was Amara's help in reclaiming their home. Amara did not hesitate to agree.
Withe renewed purpose, Amara followed Risha back to the Tempus territory to meet with their new ally: none other than Versailles herself. The daughter of Marrow revealed her true intentions. She had wanted Amara to become Luna all along but had had no choice when her father forced her to go along with his new plan of seizing the position of Luna.
Versailles was not the only one to have these feelings. Within the Tempus, many cats were unhappy with the change in leadership. Those true Tempus cats remembered the rule of Risha and wanted the Tempus to be the haven it once was. Their best shot at returning Tempus to its former glory was Amara, the descendant of Risha.
So Versailles and Amara began to plot. The wormed out the faithful among the Tempus. Slowly the amassed an army of those loyal to Amara. She won them over with her link to the Tutelas and their Tempus ancestors. Her bloodline also held strong sway among the faithful few.
It took moons of work, but eventually Amara won the loyalty of the Tempus cats from the outside. It did not hurt that Marrow was horrible leader with blood-thirsty ways. Everyone was terrified of him and ready to put someone else on the throne.
THE STRUGGLE FOR POWER
It would not be for a long time until Amara and her faithful launched an attach against Marrow and the rest of the Tempus. Amara was experience with rebellions after her time with the rouge rebels. She was careful, patient, and charismatic. Through her perseverance, she amassed a military force loyal to her cause.
Still she hesitated, not ready to weaken Tempus once more with yet another rebellion. She was not sure the Tempus could survive yet another upheaval in leadership.
Eventually her fears were dispelled by Risha who demanded retribution for those that had wronged her. She claimed that only Amara could right the wrongs that had been made. She was destined to lead the Tempus. Her reign would finally bring peace to her kin.
That was all the motivation Amara needed.
Together with Versailles, she planned an assault against Marrow. Instead of making a move against the Tempus warriors, Amara took her strife directly to Marrow himself. She brought herself and her army of faithful up against Marrow and his corrupted Tempus. She demanded a trial by combat for the position of Luna.
Confident and strong, Marrow accepted her challenge. Legend has it, Amara and Marrow fought for a full three days and nights. Both were evenly matched and ready to fight to the death. Only in the last moment did Amara get the upper hand by the divine blessing of Risha herself. In an instant, it was over. Amara stood victorious above the body of Marrow and the ghostly figure of Risha at her back.
The Tempus hailed Amara a God among cats; a descendant of royalty; the Tempest itself; the true Luna.
Amara wasted no time taking her place as Luna among the Tempus. The very next day she stood before the Tempus as the new Luna and laid down the laws. She reinstated Risha's Law and rearranged the Tempus into their traditional ranks. With her final words, she hailed a period of peace in Tempus for the first time in years.
