APPEARANCE
FULL DESCRIPTION: Morningsong is a mid-sized, broad shouldered she cat with long, fluffy, creamy-colored fur. Her back is a bit more of a sand color due to a brindle Gene from her father, and her chest fur is a milky white like her mother's. She has a very pink nose, made more obvious by her fur color, and intelligent olive-green eyes. She isn't particularly tall, but her fur aids in making her look larger and more intimidating. Her tail is almost strangely long, an off-grey color, and is usually held straight up in the air like a plume of smoke. She has borderline tiny paws, and her dainty appearance overall would usually suggest a Kittypet. In Morningsong's case, this is far from reality.
SHORT DESCRIPTION: A cream-colored longhair with a pink nose, overly-long tail, and a set of Intelligent Olive-green eyes.
PERSONALITY
Morningsong is a bit of an oddity among Tideclan cats. Though generally friendly, she has very little tolerance for nonsense. Though no where near an introvert, she has a tendency to isolate herself when she is going through emotional turmoil, rather than speak about her feelings. It isn't that she is afraid to voice her feelings, but she has found she can sort through her own problems in her head without putting a burden on others. That is the specific reason, in fact, why she does it. She has a serious complex when it comes to asking for help, fearing that she will be nothing more than a burden like she was when she was a kit.
However, her external personality exhumes confidence and grace. Each of her movements is very precise, right down to each flick of her tail. She is almost OCD about how she keeps her nest, spending a fair bit of time tidying it when she isn't needed elsewhere. If you didn't know her from kithood, you'd probably never notice the inner battle she is constantly waging on herself.
Beyond that, she is a very intelligent she-cat, and tends to look at things from a more logical view than an emotional one, having issues with expressing emotions as it is. When faced with issues in Morality, she sometimes can be too black and white, missing the grey area entirely. However, her intelligence is to her credit, as it has aided her in helping the clan many times.
She isn't much of a creative or inventive type, so she tends to use straightforward methods when solving problems, and can be extremely blunt once she has lost her patience. This tough love can be a blessing or a curse depending on the situation, but she always has the Clan's best interests at heart.

HISTORY
Her kithood was not an easy one. Given her current size, you'd never expect her to have been a runt. However, that was precisely the case for her; the runt that almost died during kitting, and was never supposed to make it until the morning light. When the dawn broke, the medicine cat declared she would live, and so her mother gave her the affectionate name, Morningkit.
Sandstorm was overjoyed to have four kits instead of three, but Raintalon was not so pleased. He didn't like the fact that his litter was not born in perfect health, and blamed that fact on Morningkit. He tried many times to convince Sandstorm to simply stop feeding Morningkit, and it came to the point that Sandstorm grew angry with him, and broke off their relationship. She still allowed Raintalon to visit his kits, but would never let him come too close to Morningkit, whom she'd become increasingly protective of.
Mistkit, Sunkit, and Smokekit were loving and protective siblings to their little sister, Smokekit most of all. They were usually all together, playing, exploring, practicing to be warriors. Whenever another kit or an apprentice would make fun of Morningkit for her diminutive size, Smokekit wouldnt hesitate to cuff their ears while Mistkit and Sunkit tag-teamed battering the offender's sides with little paws. Morningkit loved her sisters and brother very dearly, and were it not for them, would never have found any confidence in herself.
As they grew into Apprentices, Morningkit began to catch up in the size department. You could hardly tell she'd been a runt, and her confidence grew with each passing day. However, fate was not on her side, as she learned that Raintalon had requested to be her Mentor. He'd told their leader that he merely wanted to reconnect with his daughter, and gain her forgiveness. However, this was not the case, as he spent no time training her, and simply walked her around the territory insulting her every move. It became extremely emotionally taxing on Morningpaw, but she kept it to herself, not realizing that it wasn't her at fault. She worked harder and harder every day, forcing herself through countless days of torture and emotional abuse. Now, instead of runt, Raintalon would call her fat, and claim that she'd stolen all the milk from his real kits, and that she was nothing but a burden to the clan.
It was all incredibly strange, how Raintalon disappeared. Half way through Morningkit's training, she woke up late to find her mentor was nowhere to be found. The clan searched, but the only scent they found was left the day before, at the tide pools where he and Morningkit were training when he'd insulted her weight. She'd left the training on his order, figuring he would return to the camp once he felt like it. It wasn't like she could question him, for fear that he'd hit her or knock her into the water. She had no clue what happened to him, and the clan assumed he'd simply been swept away.
Morningpaw was given a new mentor, one that was far more kind and encouraging. However, by then, the damage to her mind had already been done, and she had begun to treat every task like it was of the utmost importance, never giving herself a moment's rest. Her mentor didn't realize that she was over-working herself, and merely assumed she was just excited to become a warrior. She excelled so quickly, that the day came much earlier than it usually did for apprentices, and she was given her warrior name almost half a moon before her siblings.
Even as a Warrior, Morningsong has continued to push herself, her father's voice constantly plaguing her mind. Her mother and siblings have been constant support for her, but there is only so much they can do to heal her troubled mind.
